Preveli
Preveli is a historic Orthodox monastery on the south coast of Crete, overlooking the Libyan Sea near the Kourtaliotiko Gorge. It is noted for its role sheltering Allied soldiers during the German occupation in the Second World War, and lies close to the palm-fringed Preveli Beach.
